HOW IS AN E-LIQUID MADE?

Many e-liquids contain 0% nicotine and contain the same ingredients. Propylene glycol is sometimes used in conjunction with vegetable glycerin or is commonly used instead. It is tasteless, odourless and colourless alcohol.

Electronic cigarettes have a cartridge where the juice is stored with a slight heating component.

As the e-liquid heats up, the liquid turns into an aerosol that can be inhaled. Vape ingredients may vary by brand and manufacturer. However, there are common enhancements that many e-liquid manufacturers rely on. Water is a common liquid ingredient in all e-liquids for vaping.

Vegetable glycerin specializes in sugar, supplements and thickening.

To understand how an e-liquid is made, we will detail the stages of the production chain!

Raw materials: propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin

When the two raw materials: propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin arrive in our warehouse, they are analyzed again in our laboratory to avoid the risk of a loss of production.

Propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin are delivered and designed by our approved pharmaceutical partner, selected for the quality of its products.

The design of flavours

This step is certainly the most important in the manufacture of an e-liquid! Designing an e-liquid flavour can take several weeks or even months. It is for this reason that there are unique and unrivalled DIY flavours or e-liquids from certain manufacturers…

The work is carried out on aromatic molecules, there are several thousand of them! For the strawberry, the custard cream, the pineapple…

Nicotine

For some e-liquids the addition of diluted nicotine is important! You may have noticed, that e-liquid bottles are advertised as 0mg, 6mg, 12mg, and 18mg. Nicotine is estimated at milligrams per millilitre. This means that one millilitre of vaping e-liquid contains one milligram of nicotine. So choose the amount of mg according to your tendency to smoke.

If you want to quit smoking plan to start at around 12-18mg and gradually reduce the amount of nicotine.

In the stages of making an e-liquid, the nicotine arrives 99% pure and can be very dangerous in liquid form. It is therefore handled with caution and directly introduced into stainless steel tanks.

Also, don’t forget to always wear gloves when filling your small vials during a DIY preparation. The limited amount of nicotine in the liquid can interact or be absorbed by your skin, leading to loss of organization, seizures and many other consequences.

The preparation of e-liquids and their analysis

The aroma is mixed with propylene glycol (PG) with vegetable glycerin (VG) and with nicotine if necessary. All these ingredients are of course mixed with ultimate precision and according to very precise specifications!

A final analysis of the e-liquid is performed to check the levels of PG/VG, nicotine, additives and flavour aromas. A numbered sample is always kept in our laboratory to be able to trace the manufacture of each e-liquid, aroma or DIY concentrate!

The bottling of the e-liquid preparation

The bottling of e-liquids for electronic cigarettes can begin! It is almost the last stage of production! This is very important and requires constant monitoring. The e-liquid is poured on the production line into PET (Polyethylene) bottles of several sizes, and most often with a pouring spout.

The packaging of e-liquid bottles

Design or classic, depending on the flavours or the e-liquids, the labels are automatically stuck on the production line.

Storage and shipping of e-liquids

E-liquid packages are stored on pallets awaiting the carrier, and following orders to French and European shops, but also individuals!
